It's been a strange couple of weeks. I can't really even explain it, but considering the fact that I'll probably be asked to write up an official report, I suppose I have to at least attempt getting down what I do know. The facts, as it were. Approximately two weeks ago, give or take a couple of days, many crew members - myself included - began acting oddly. I'm not entirely sure that I myself am back yet.

Although incited by causes beyond my own control, I wish to extend a formal apology to the crew of the Enterprise for my actions and behavior while under the influence of the Thumos plant. There is no excuse for the abandonment of my duty to this ship and her crew, and to my engineering crew. Those of my crew unaffected by the Thumos plant performed admirably in my absence, and I am happy to report that apart from a few minor problems here and there, the engine is in top condition.

To those of you who remained unaffected and continued to perform in my absence, thank you.
