Although incited by causes beyond my own control, I wish to extend a formal apology to the crew of the Enterprise for my actions and behavior while under the influence of the Thumos plant. There is no excuse for the abandonment of my duty to this ship and her crew, and to my engineering crew. Those of my crew unaffected by the Thumos plant performed admirably in my absence, and I am happy to report that apart from a few minor problems here and there, the engine is in top condition.

To those of you who remained unaffected and continued to perform in my absence, thank you.

I just spent about... oh, six hours, give or take, giving the engine a thorough looking-over and found that apart from a few things here and there, everything's fine.

If that's not good cause for a good mood, I don't know what is.
