That clicking noise in the air vents on Deck Three was a beetle. Still trying to figure out how the wee beastie managed to sneak on board.

The door on Deck Six that kept sticking was the result of some faulty wiring, which has been fixed, and the lights on Deck Seven have been re-timed to synchronize with the rest of the lights on the ship.

Anything else anyone needs fixed?

*looks around* See, I brought my electric guitar amp with me...and I'm wondering if there's a way to make it so it doesn't use so much power. I'm going through 4 batteries a week on this thing!

Sweet! *grins* You're awesome, Mr. Scott.

Well, it's a 20th century amp and I don't trust it to just anyone.

Yep. It belonged to some guy name Keith Richards. That's about all I know about it.

My dad's an engineer and it's been passed down in the family for eons.

*shrugs* It's old and if it does break, I would be disappointed but I wouldn't cry. It works, but I've always wondered if there was a way to make an entire room become your amplifier.

*grins* Glad to be of service.

Not a problem! Besides, we can always appeal to Commander Spock's "scientific" side and then he can use really big words and the Captain will be all "Okay Spock, whatever. Just do it."

[identity profile] rockhammerman.livejournal.com 2009-10-24 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Well, seeing as Commander Spock plays the Vulcan lyre and is always going on about how "illogical" the current sound system is, I'm sure we could get him on board if we let him use the room every now and then. As for scientific purposes, it's a proven fact that music stimulates the brain and is also shown to lower stress levels, something that we would DEFINITELY want to keep low on a 5 year mission.

Excellent. *smirks evilly as he contemplates how a room would reverberate with "Crazy Train" being played with distortion*
