Just a few more adjustments to the transporters and I believe they'll be fully functional in regards to transdimensional beaming. I apologize if I've seemed a bit absent as of late - between catching up on the paperwork left over from the virus and working on this project I've been a bit busy. If I've missed anything, would anyone care to fill me in?

I can get you red, gold, or blue, Captain. I'm afraid I can't get you anything with captain's stripes, but it won't be for long, so. Let's get you set, then. Which color did you want?

[And he'll just nip off to get a uniform, and by God he is running, because he doesn't want Jack to just start wandering off again.]

On see? [ points at the shirt-- under his shirt. And the coat. ] Very comfortable.

Captain, sir. With all due respect, sir, you'll have tae leave the coat. An' your shirt. You can keep the hat, but you've got tae at least try blendin' in, just a little, aye?

[ makes a face at him then looks down at himself. sigh. ] Hmmmm... [ Okay coat off. Shirt goes in the coat's pocket. He's going to eye Scotty then start figuring out how to keep things on him. So the belt can come off... and he can keep the gun holster? And the compass can hang on that. ] Oh! There's my telescope. [ Let's put that in the coat ]

An' you can leave your coat in here. I'll lock it up, no one'll be able tae get at it, alright?

This room locks? [ oh okay. Gun gets tucked in the boot, compass goes around the wrist. Anything above the neck stays put, keep the rings on, and anything else gets put on Scotty's chair ] Okay! Good?

[He's not exactly happy about Jack keeping the gun, but he's done arguing with the man.]

Thing is, Captain, he's on duty at the moment, an' it'll be a while before he can leave the bridge. If you want tae hang around a bit...

[What can he do to keep Jack occupied?]

I take it the answer to my next question will be 'No, Jack you can't go on the bridge.' Drinks it is. Lead the way, Scotty.
