Just a few more adjustments to the transporters and I believe they'll be fully functional in regards to transdimensional beaming. I apologize if I've seemed a bit absent as of late - between catching up on the paperwork left over from the virus and working on this project I've been a bit busy. If I've missed anything, would anyone care to fill me in?

[And switching to action. Speaking of action, Scotty - who was posting to the community from the computer in his quarters - dashes through the halls of the Enterprise, heading straight for the transporter room. He seals it off the minute he's inside, and gets to work, hands flying over controls. He knows the system's not ready, but it's do or die, and by God, he's going to get Jack on board this ship, preferably in one piece.

Using the community to trace the signal from Jack's world, he gets a lock, and starts transport.]

[ And Jack's just waiting for something to happen here, humming to himself. Making sure his hat is on. Stuff? Check. Rum? Check. Right. Okay. What are we transporting? ]

[ Gets up, dusts himself off--- er twists water out of his coat and on the floor -- then holds his fingers up ] Wait. I've got my five minutes! Which room is this?

This's the transporter room -- look, thing is, Captain, I've sort o' brought you on without clearin' it with Jim, right, because I thought what's the harm in it, it'll just be for a minute or two an' then you'll be back where you ought tae be, an'...

[ Staring at the screen curiously then raises his brows at him ] What?

Ehem. We'll just find Jim and tell him. Which way to the Captain's cabin?

[ Jack's just going to wander off now. No, really. He is wandering out of the room after taking a moment to examine the doors. ] Oh. Hallways~! How big is this exactly?

[And Scotty's just going to dart after him, snagging his sleeve.]

You can't just go wanderin' off, Captain. Look, I can call Jim an' have him come up tae meet us here, aye? But you've got tae stay in the transporter room, because let's face it, you don't exactly fit in. Sir.

No? Give me one of those shirts then.

Right. Come back with me tae the transporter room, an' I'll get you a change o' clothes, alright?

A change of clothes? I only want the shirt. [ Rubs nose then shrugs and wanders back into the transporter room ]

With all due respect, Captain, if you won't accept a complete change o' clothes, I'm afraid I'm goin' tae have tae send you back, sir.

[ pouting here. does he have to? ] The hat stays on. What colors to those shirts come in?

[Yes, he has to, and Scotty is not swayed by pouting.]

I can get you red, gold, or blue, Captain. I'm afraid I can't get you anything with captain's stripes, but it won't be for long, so. Let's get you set, then. Which color did you want?

[And he'll just nip off to get a uniform, and by God he is running, because he doesn't want Jack to just start wandering off again.]
