Marla is an exception to the rule because this is to_boldlygo universe, where Khan is already preordained to never appear. That's why a reboot Marla/Khan relationship isn't going to happen. Because these rules only apply to the to_boldlygo universe, which is an offshoot of the ST XI universe, which is an offshoot of the TOS universe. enterpriserpg would be another offshoot of the ST XI universe, and therefore is yet another alternate universe.
It's simply that in this universe, to_boldlygo!verse, Elizabeth Dehner and Montgomery Scott were, against all odds, both in exactly the right place at the right time. It's a one in a million chance.
If you think about it that way, in the sense that this isn't the Reboot universe, then it all fits. It's the multiversal theory again, with offshoots of universes forming at key divergence points in the timeline. One critical decision splits into two universes, where the decision goes one way in one and a different way in the other. Some dovetail back into the core universe, others continue along their merry way and become core universes of their own.
And for the record, K't'lk is only spider-like, not an actual arachnid.
